Great place to stay for a couple of nights whilst attending a course at North Shore Hospital. Friendly hosts. Parking and Wifi included. Breakfast cereals and toast were included. Tasty homemade Anzac buiscuits!

Very comfortable and clean apartment with all the amenities you could wish for. Hosts couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was definitely a plus for us as well as all the advice on our itinerary. Would definitely recommend over a conventional hotel!

What would you highlight about East Coast Guesthouse

The apartment was spacious and the Hosts, Peter and Charmaine were lovely. They set up the sofa bed for our young daughter and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We had queries re public transport and Peter organised a travel card for us - which was so unexpected and much appreciated. Breakfast food in the fridge was a nice touch.

There wasn't much not to like. The location is probably a bit further out of the city than we expected - it was our first trip to NZ. However public transport was literally right at the front door and it was lovely taking the ferry home at night.

What would you highlight about East Coast Guesthouse

The entire place was great and Peter was a great host! I must say the photos undersell what the place actually looks like, which was immaculate. I wasn’t entirely sure before coming whether or not the bathroom is private, which it is (in case anyone else is also unsure). The place was clean, tidy, had everything we needed (and more). There were nice touches that I didn’t expect such as Connect Four and yoghurt in the fridge. Would definitely recommend staying here

There was a slight kerfuffle before we came over as there was an accidental double booking of the room which worried us initially, but Peter sorted it out and we were able to stay.

Charlaine was an awesome host. Her house was lovely and very comfy, with all the facilities you ll need for a short stay. What s more the breakfast was excellent too! You will not be able to find a better host / guesthouse anywhee!

What would you highlight about East Coast Guesthouse

Our hosts, Charmaine and Peter, could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. They gave us information about public transportation as well as suggestions for dining and touring. The apartment was large, with two sofas, television, and a kitchen that included a refrigerator and microwave, as well as a place to cook, if we so desired. Very comfortable!

The only thing is location, if you want to be withing walking distance of Auckland sites. If one is driving, it is about 15 minutes into Auckland. The town of Milford is within walking distance (great selection of restaurants). The bus comes regularly to take one into the city of Auckland, so transport to and from the city is not really a problem. We enjoyed being in a smaller community.
